About the Author
A child born during the Cold War, Sandy grew up with a passion for learning.
In her youth, following in the footsteps of her father, she considered herself a young scientist and explorer, but also a butterfly chaser, rock tosser, marble player, and collector of old tin
cans and bottles. Dreaming of becoming a doctor one day, she started down the path of pre-med.
It was a coach in college who first discovered her talents in the Fine Arts.
As an artist, she became a professional potter, labeled a Georgia Designer Craftsman. She decided to pursue a career in education.
Her passion for helping kids through art education led her toward an interest in dedicating her career as an educator and social worker to children and adults with special needs.
People think of Sandy as a kind, loving, caring lady, but she considers herself, “only human like everyone else.”
She is a retired school teacher, and a mother, wife, and grandmother.
“The path of an educator took me places I never believed I would go, but I’m not done yet.”
When Sandy retired, she decided to become a writer to explore the ways in which she could carry on her mission, globally.
Sandy is the author of the children’s book, “Legacy of the Skullmaster,” an adventure in reading for all ages.
She has written over a hundred articles on HubPages, and is the host of the forthcoming podcast, “Sandy’s Highway of Life.”
